Yoga Instructor and Fitness Trainer

Dina Prioste had always been healthy but lacked flexibility. In the late 90’s, while studying acting in CA, she also took a dance class and quickly became frustrated by her limited range of motion, hating to do the stretches required of her in dance class. Dina found herself drawn to yoga, and being athletic, the strength and power of Vinyasa yoga, in particular, appealed to her and she began her practice in 2001 upon moving to New York City. At that time she had an intuition that she would some day teach yoga. Still, running came first and she competed regularly in races in New York. However, overtraining resulted in a groin pull that kept her from exercising for over three months. At that time that her attraction to yoga re-surfaced.

In 2004 Dina received a 200 hour Vinyasa certification from Atmananda Yoga in New York, NY and began teaching group classes and private clients. Still, the cardio called to her and in 2006 she became certified as a Spinning Instructor from Mad Dogg Athletics but also brought yoga “mindfulness” to the Spinning classes. In May of 2009 Dina completed a 300 hour advanced yoga certification with Elizabeth Neuse of B Yoga in New York. Dina currently teaches group yoga and spin classes in the Bay Area, CA and produces the weekly video podcast, “Get Exercised” and enjoys much greater flexibility.
