Marian Verbruggen, Ph.D.
Head, Department of Medical Science & Regulatory Affairs, Frutarom
Dr. Marian Verbruggen heads the Department of Medical Science and Regulatory Affairs of Frutarom’s Health Division, based in the Netherlands. This is a position she’s held since Acatris Health was acquired by Frutarom in 2006. Prior to this, Dr. Verbruggen was dedicated to develop initiate and coordinate the clinical science program related to SoyLife, LinumLife and FenuLife. She says her scope widens in her new position with Frutarom, with the many well studied plant extracts Frutarom offers.
Dr. Verbrggen received her Masters in Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. She has a Ph.D. degree in Food Chemistry, also from Wageningen University. After graduation, she taught food science for four years. She has been working in the food science industry for ten years.
