What Oil is Best to Make Popcorn?
Interview with Dr. Bruce Fife
Interviewed by Raena Morgan

Raena Morgan: So, when we used to make popcorn at the movie theatre in coconut oil, that was a good thing, right?

Dr. Bruce Fife: It was, yes.

RM: And now, what are they using?

BF: Now, they’re using some hydrogenated fake oil with butter flavor in it, which is unhealthy.

RM: Oh, that’s really sad.

BF: So, they’ve gone from a healthy oil to a very unhealthy oil.

RM: And that was all because of the misunderstanding about the saturated fat?

BF: Exactly.

RM: So, coconut oil, good for you?

BF: Cook your popcorn in coconut oil. Not only is it healthy for you, but it tastes great.

RM: Thanks, Bruce.
