Interviewer: One of the questions we get a lot is, if I get this diagnosis of cancer, what should I do? Because there's a lot of panic and people are scared right away. What would your advice be?
Tamara St. John: Well, I'd be trying the nutritional therapies first, because they are cheap and they're really effective. My motto is you can achieve optimum health through God's pharmacy. He put it here for a reason. Let's use it. The thing is, I truly believe that God created everything on the Earth, and we can heal every single disease out there using what he provided. Now, it just takes time to figure out what plant or herb is it or seed that goes with which disease. It takes a while to experiment and figure out which one that is.
Interviewer: Mm-hmm. How are you different now, you think, after going through that experience? Physically, mentally?
Tamara St. John: Well, I don't know. You know, I hear so many people talking about, they're thankful after they went through the whole cancer thing, that they're saying, oh, you know, I'm so thankful that this happened to me and it was a blessing and whatever. I'm not to that point yet. I'm not there. Because I'm still dealing with the system Candida issue, so I'm getting rid of that.
So, it's been over four years now that I've been healing and detoxing, you know, from something. It gets exhausting after a while, so I'm not to the point where I'm going to say, cancer was a blessing and I'm glad I stopped smoking or anything like that because it just, I don't know. You'll have to get back to me on that question maybe in another year or so.
Interviewer: It's a continual process, isn't it? You don't just be, OK, I'm done. Now I can go on and do what I want to do.
Tamara St. John: I can't go back to doing, you know, the smoking. I can't go back to, you know, doing the wild party drinking, you know? That's not what I do. I can't go back to eating all the fast food. Yes, occasionally I cheat and might have a piece of pie or something. But, for the most part, no.
I mean, I couldn't do that while I had the cancer because I'd be able to feel it immediately. When you detox your body of stuff and don't feed it any processed foods or anything, you're able to feel absolutely everything that happens within your body. So the minute I would eat sugar, I would feel it within 10 minutes. I would crash, and I would have to lay down and take a nap for three hours. So it was crazy how much it, you know, would affect me. Now it doesn't affect me as much because my immune system is a lot stronger.
