Interviewer: In your healing, you know there's a lot of different aspects to it. The diet is one. Exercise is one. How much of a role did faith play in getting you recovered.
Tamara St. John: It was huge. It was you know daily. Always. I was always praying and I hike a lot. Well I started hiking in 2009. I needed to be out in nature. And when you have cancer because you're detoxing from all you know all those toxins are releasing your body, there's a lot of emotion that goes on. So, because your livers' so toxic you'll experience a lot of anger issues, a lot of bitterness. You'll because you know your skins your largest organ and when you're detoxing things come out. So, you'll be crying for no reason. So I would be hiking all the mountains in Southern California and just I would cry, like ten times a day. For no reason whatsoever. I'd be really, really angry. Really bitter. So, the hiking really got all that aggression out of me and I'd be praying up there. You know, "Why God, why are you doing this to me?" You know, just it's not bad enough you had to give me cancer, you make me lose my job all at the same time. It was like, what's up with that.
Interviewer: Yeah. Is it important you know no matter what you believe in in terms of faith just to improve the mental part of healing? Is that kind of what it comes down to?
Tamara St. John: Yeah, it comes down a lot of emotional stuff. So, you'll see some cancer patients they deal with the physical aspect but they'll never deal with the emotional part of cancer as well. So, you really have to build up your faith or correct whatever it is in your body that emotional blockage that's going on per say. So, yeah, it's very important.
