Interviewer: Let's face it, when people get the diagnosis of cancer there's a panic and often a rush to a traditional treatment of chemo or radiation. How important is diet for people choosing that path?
Tamara St. John: Well, diet is really important because when you have or when you are doing the chemo or radiation, chemo is toxic and so is radiation. They cause cancers. They are known to cause cancers. So if you're putting toxins in your body and you are not trying to detox that out of you all of that chemo or radiation is going to cause other cancers or other problems down the line if it doesn't kill you first. Diet is really important because if you have cancer and you eat sugar your cancer is going to explode exponentially and you're going to end up dead. So the people think that just because they're doing chemo or radiation that they don't have to change their diet are fooling themselves. You have to change your diet and juicing and doing stuff like that will help to heal you if you choose to go the integrative route of the diet the alternative methods and chemo.
