Mr. McKay Jenkins is the author of five books, including his most recent, What's Gotten Into Us: Staying Healthy in a Toxic World (2011).
It's the latest in a 25 year career where Jenkins has written about people and the natural world.

Jenkins is currently the Cornelius Tilghman Professor of English and Director of Journalism at the University of Delaware, where he has won the Excellence in Teaching Award. 

Jenkins has degrees from Amherst, Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism and a Phd in English from Princeton.  He is a former staff writer for the Atlanta Constitution as well as a number of other publications.
