Dr. Bob DeMaria: Hello, my name is doctor Bob DeMaria, the Drugless Doctor.  And I want to talk to about today is how I lost over 30 pounds.  You say 'Doctor Bob, you lost 30 pounds?'  Yes, I was just like so many of you.  And what happened was, I had someone send me a little facebook and said, comment and said, Dr. Bob, you have a little bit of extra real estate, you need to do something about it.  So I made the decision, it was time to lose weight.  And I'm going to give you my secret.

Number one.  This is an original Dr. Bob swap bag.  I eat a bag of this every day. One medium carrot.  One half of a red apple.  One stalk of celery.  Two radishes.  You're going to want to listen to this tape again.  Several small tomatoes and by eating this all day long, I'm eliminating the calories from mindless eating.  A SWAP bag.  Start With A Protein.  

My hidden secret of losing weight consistently happens to be this.  This is coconut oil.  And I use two tablespoons of coconut oil every day.  My wife has been using coconut oil for a long time and I never thought it would make such a huge difference.  Well it does.  I'm going to show you how I do it.  This happens to be a corn cake.  In between the corn cake and the rice cake, is a tablespoon of almond butter and a tablespoon of coconut oil.  We have a corn cake, almond butter, with coconut oil, rice cake.  I usually have this about 10 o'clock in the morning, it's a great morning snack.  And it's going to give you that satiation that you feel full.  So coconut oil is awesome.  

Something else that I did.  I was eating too many nuts.  Nuts are really important, but I was eating too many almonds.  I mean I was really eating too many almonds.  Almonds are a great source of calcium and I encourage you to eat almonds, but I was eating too many.  I was eating too many walnuts, cashews and almonds.  So I became calorie conscious.  That means, I started looking at what I ate during the daytime.  And I stated reducing the calories.  I was using a healthy mayonnaise, but it had a lot of calories in it.  I was using too much olive oil, had a lot of calories in it.  I was eating very healthy pretzels that were made from spelt, but I was eating too many of them.

So let me give you some action steps, drugless action steps.  This is what I want you to do.  Two tablespoons of coconut oil every day.  Either you put it on your salad, you stir fry with it.  I happen to put mine on a rice cake.  I want you to have a SWAP bag.  Start With A Protein.  These are vegetable proteins.  Stalk of celery, one medium carrot, five or six small tomatoes, two radishes, even a wedge of bell pepper, red, yellow or orange, that will make a huge difference.  I have a green vegetable every day, a green salad every day at lunchtime with a protein.  So focus on vegetables and proteins, it will go a long way to make a difference in your weight loss.
